2016 Summer Alumni Reunions

God's been faithful and good to CCSP for 20 years, and that's a milestone and a blessing worth celebrating!

Remember sitting in a circle amongst newfound friends, the forest trees surrounding you, birds singing, pondering important life topics. Can you ever forget those silly moments during impromptu games with a great group of people, or getting really serious in that mind-blowing CCSP class?  What about that close interaction with some amazing wildlife on a fieldtrip, or feeling the breath of God sweeping over you in that private moment that changed your life? Let us revisit those happy memories, and create more at CCSP's 20th anniversary summer reunions!

God's been faithful and good to CCSP for 20 years!  That's a milestone and a blessing worth celebrating!  Over the years we've grown beyond an academic semester program into the Center for Environmental Leadership (CEL), an organization helping to equip the Church to  care for creation at national and international levels. Come to a CCSP reunion this summer to reconnect with CCSP and old friends. The proceeds from these reunions also contribute to building a sustainable foundation for CCSP's long term future.

CCSP Is Hiring Staff!

The Creation Care Study Programs in Belize and New Zealand are looking to hire staff for an August 7th, 2014 start date.

CCSP NZ is looking to fill the following positions: Student Life Coordinator, Sustainable Food Coordinator, Property Manager and Program Administrator.

CCSP Belize is looking to fill the following positions: Student Life Coordinator (2), Program Administrator, and Sustainable Food Coordinator.

Program directors will be reviewing applications and conducting interviews on a rolling basis until the positions are filled.

The Belize and NZ Program Directors can access all applications via a file sharing program so there's no need to apply twice if you're interested in the possibility of working for both programs.

We invite your prayers as we prepare to welcome new additions to our staff family.

Announcing New Maori Language Course

We’re thrilled to announce that starting in the Spring 2014 semester CCSP New Zealand will be offering a 1 credit core course in “Te reo Maori,” the Maori language!

We might ask, “Why choose to learn te reo Maori (the Maori language) if one is only in New Zealand for four months?”  The answer lies in the close proximity of language and culture. Te reo Maori and tikanga Maori (Maori culture) are intertwined, and so learning te reo Maori allows students to access te ao Maori (the Maori world) and Maori world views. As students compare tikanga Maori with other cultures within New Zealand and overseas, they’ll develop an understanding of the central roles that language, culture, place and heritage play in shaping identity and in giving direction and meaning to life.
