Chris and I spent five days in Philly, in conjunction with Tony Campolo's 70th birthday weekend celebrations. Newlyweds Alissa (Miller) and Eric Barshinger came over to visit us for an evening. It was great to see Alissa, meet her great husband, observe them blissfully happy, and catch up.

In South Philly, we dined at Ralph's (the oldest Italian-owned restaurant in the U.S.) with Jill Stoneberg, Ray Mount and Katy Hoch.

Belize alum Rebecca Buckham recently graduated from Messiah College and moved home to the San Diego area. Though we had never met, she gave me a call and we met at the Julian coffee house for lunch and conversation about literature, place, CCSP and the future.
