Marine Ecology

Students worked hard this week discovering the world under the sea. Learning about mangroves, sea grass, coral reefs, and their inhabitants is full of adventure and a little hard work. Students spent a lot of their day snorkeling and observing certain species of fish for their Observation Projects as well as hearing lectures from Kristel Van Houte Howes. A little adventure was had on our boat trip to see the soft coral and sea birds-- an unexpected storm crept up on us and gave us a ride to remember. We persevered and continued on our snorkeling expedition. The water felt nice and warm compared to the sharp drops of rain water slapping our faces!
