Faga Homestay

For 4 days the students and staff become part of a family in Faga village. Many students went to the plantation with their families, learned how to fish, weaved mats, helped cook meals, did their "sisters and brother's " homework, played with the local kids, and experienced everyday village life. I think it takes most people a little while to adjust the slower pace of life and the reality of living in a hot and humid climate! It's always fun to go back to the cooking fale and see your brother begin scraping the coconut and tarro for dinner that night-- just some of the everyday duties required after a day of school!
