La Ruta Maya
La Ruta Maya is an annual canoe race from San Ignacio to Belize City on the Belize River. This year a number of us participated in three canoes as the collective Nabitunich team. Team 1 was “Nabi” (Shane, Emily and Domenic Juan), Team 2 was “Tun” (Katherine, Mark and Peter), Team 3 was “Ich” (Justin, Stephanie and Ali). We competed between ourselves a bit, but mostly it was just for fun! It was insanely hard work, but undisputedly an unforgettable experience!
