This past weekend, Small Group Spectacular (Phil, Iris, Ellen, Trish and Dave) ventured off into the unknown of Crooked Tree Wildlife Sanctuary for some adventure and R & R. Along with a little off-roading, the group did mass amounts of bird watching (spotting the coveted Jabiru Stork) and exploring the relatively untouched Mayan ruin, Chua Hiix. Upon returning we almost ran over a black-tailed indigo snake. Phil quickly turned the car off and he and Dave chased it. It was quite a funny sight to see two grown men running after a frantic snake. Overall, the weekend was full of good food, fun, and bonding.
